One of the most well-known movies, the original producer, N.C. Sippy’s grandson Sameer Raj Sippy, is teaming up with producer Vikram Khakhar to remake Anand, which starred Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan. While the film is still in the scripting stage, the director has yet to be chosen.
“Rather of scouring the globe for stories, we will unearth important pearls digging into our own classics,” says producer Vikram Khakhar. Placing Anand in the post-Covid age, where the value of life is emphasised, will enrich Anand’s story.”
