Supporters Of Imran Khan Attack Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s Lahore Residence

The supporters of former premier Imran Khan on Wednesday attacked Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s Lahore mansion.

According to police, more than 500 miscreants from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party broke into the prime minister’s Model Town Lahore mansion in the early hours of Wednesday and set ablaze vehicles parked there.

A senior police official informed news agency, “They also tossed petrol bombs inside the premiere’s house.”

According to a police official, only the guards were present at the prime minister’s residence when the miscreants attacked. They also set fire to a police station there.

“The PTI protesters left as a large contingent of police arrived,” he said.

Before approaching the prime minister’s residence, the mob stormed the ruling PML-N Secretariat in Model Town. They also set fire to the barriers.

Protesters set fire to 14 government installations/buildings and 21 police vehicles in Punjab over the last two days, according to police.

The former Pakistan President’s supporters also led a protest march to PM Shehbaz Sharif’s London mansion and surrounded it.

On Wednesday, the situation in Lahore and other Punjab cities remained tense following the arrest of PTI chief and former Prime Minister Imran Khan by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in a land transfer corruption case.

At least seven people were killed and nearly 300 were injured in violent clashes between Imran Khan supporters and security forces across Pakistan on Wednesday, as the army was deployed to maintain law and order in the country’s capital Islamabad, as well as Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan provinces, according to news agency.
