With immediate effect, the International Cricket Council Board has terminated Sri Lanka Cricket’s ICC membership.
The ICC said in a statement issued on Friday night that the SLC had violated its membership responsibilities, specifically the need to conduct its business independently and without intervention from the government.
The International Criminal Court (ICC) declared in a statement that “the conditions of the suspension will be decided by the ICC Board in due course.”
Following the November 21 meeting of the ICC Board, further clarity regarding the future course of action is anticipated.
