The makers of the upcoming movie Dunki have now released a touching song from the film after releasing Dunki Drop 4 – The teaser. The song, titled “O Maahi,” stars Taapsee Pannu and Shah Rukh Khan. Arijit Singh is the crooner; Pritam is the composer, and Irshad Kamil wrote the lyrics. Vaibhavi Merchant is the choreographer.
The story of “O Maahi” is one of unwavering love and how people will stop at nothing to keep the ones they care about safe. The song depicts the journey of SRK and Taapsee as they overcome obstacles posed by national borders, demonstrating their will to live together. The two are attempting to cross the border illegally in the desert. In one scene, SRK dazzles us with his dancing, flawlessly copying Vaibhavi’s moves.
The official synopsis of the song read, “Manu and Hardy only Have Eyes for One Another as Their Hearts Get Intertwined. Presenting ‘O Maahi (Song)’, From the Upcoming Film Dunki. Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani and Vicky Kaushal. A Saga of Friendships, Borders, Nostalgia for Home and Love.”
Shah Rukh Khan shared the song on his X handle and wrote, “Love, ishq, mohabbat, pyaar…yeh sabka izhaar karne mein hum waqt laga dete hain. Sometimes we don’t get the chance. Sometimes we don’t find the words. This song is dedicated to all the lovers who feel like this…So say it Now…Today…Tomorrow, and Everyday… Mere Ishq pe Haq hua tera…Lo mein qayamat tak hua tera… with this song. Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, will hit theatres on December 21.
