Rumours of a divorce between Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan have been around for a time. Despite the couple’s silence about the split rumours, people have been going back over their previous postings and interviews, which has sparked a tonne of online speculation. Recently, a fan went back to Aishwarya’s slambook entry where she discussed grief.
The slambook questionnaire asked her to answer, “My Sorrows” and Aishwarya wrote, “are mine.” The book also asked her to name one thing that turns her on. She replied, “The one who’ll lead me to ‘the light’ even in the dark.” The book also posed the question, “I love…” and she replied, “The idea of being in love, being in love and love.” She also mentioned that her strength comes from “The honest love and faith the few but dear ones have for and in me!”
“Genuineness (Nothing about me is plastic),” Aishwarya responded in response to the question regarding what her greatest asset is. She added that although she appreciates her achievement, she hasn’t yet given it enough thought. She went on to say that she would not “stoop” to the same level as evildoers. Aishwarya also disclosed her “favourite bedroom phrase” and spoke about her sex appeal.
2007 saw the marriage of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai. The two had been pals for a while, having collaborated on projects together like Kuch Naa Kaho (2003) and Dhai Akshar Prem Ke (2000). Their relationship took off while they were filming Umrao Jaan in 2005–2006, and it reached even greater heights when they were working on Guru and Dhoom 2. On April 20, 2007, they tied the knot in a lavish but personal ceremony.
After 17 years of marriage, Abhishek and Aishwarya now have a daughter named Aaradhya.
