This is Radhika Apte’s first child. On Wednesday, October 16, the actor went to see her film Sister Midnight at the BFI London Film Festival. Fans were shocked when she showed off her large baby bulge there.
Radhika didn’t disclose her pregnancy on social media, but she did post photos from her appearance. She just wrote, “SISTER MIDNIGHT UK Premier #lff2024,” as the caption for her photo. She was seen posing on the red carpet both by herself and with the actors and staff of the movie.
Radhika had her hair wrapped up in a bun and was dressed in a black off-the-shoulder midi dress. The actor received a tonne of well wishes and congratulations. “Omg!!! She’s pregnant, how exciting,” wrote a fan. “Ah! Congrats on the premiere and your pregnancy! You are magnificent on the red carpet,” read another comment. “Congratulations ❤️on all fronts,” another wrote.
Since 2012, Radhika has been wed to Benedict Taylor, a British musician and composer. Despite working in the entertainment world, the pair, who split their time between Mumbai and London, prefers to remain anonymous. They quickly moved in together after meeting in 2011 while Radhika was in London on sabbatical to study contemporary dance. Prior to an official ceremony in 2013, they had a minor wedding in 2012.
Recently, Radhika appeared in a cameo in Sriram Raghavan’s Merry Christmas, which also starred Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif.
With Keethy Suresh, Radhika also has the YRF Entertainment-produced revenge thriller series Akka. Dharmaraj Shetty, a debutante writer-director, is directing the series.
“A frustrated and misanthropic newlywed who discovers certain feral impulses that land her in unlikely situations” is the plot of the genre-bending comedy Sister Midnight. Director Karan Kandhari is in charge. In May of this year, it had its debut at the Cannes Film Festival.
