Bengal’s Forest Minister Rajib Bnarejee resigned from Mamta’s Cabinet

On resigning from his the cabinet minister Rajib Banerjee said, "it was an honour to serve people of the state".

Amid the string of jolts into Trinamool Congress another minister from Mamta Banerjee Cabinet Rajib Banerjee, Bengal Forest Minister resigned from the cabinet on Friday.

On resigning from his post Banerjee said, “it was an honour to serve people of the state”.

However, in a letter written to Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee giving his resignation he did not mention any reason behind the resignation.

In the letter he wrote, “It has been a great honour and privilege to serve the people of West Bengal. I heartily convey my gratitude for getting this opportunity”.

The copy of his resignation was also sent to Jagdeep Dhankha the Governor of the state for a required action.

This is the latest resignation amid the string of resignations given by other TMC members which include Shilbhadra Datta, Suvendhu Adhikari, Arindham Bhattacharya and Jitendra Tiwari.  

The cabinet minister’s resignation comes a few days after Banerjee complained about some leaders alleging them of carrying out propaganda against him.

Although, only a day ago it was announced that Rajib Banerjee and Sadhan Pande along with other TMC leaders will be vocalizing about their grievances regarding the functioning of the government.
