Around 22 cases have been filed against the violence erupted on Republic day over the three Center’s farm laws. Farmers protested through a tractor rally in which a farmer also died, said Delhi Police.
According to the police, in the violence total eight buses and 17 private vehicles were vandalised.
The violence has erupted majorly in the parts of Gazipur, Tikri, Mukarba Chowk, Nangloi T-point, Seemapuri and Delhi ITO, where 86 police personnels were injured during the clashes between police and the protestors.
Many barricades of Tikri border, Singhu border and Gazipur were broken by the protestors.
However, the police said various rounds of talks were held between the Samyukt Kisan Morcha and the police regarding the tractor rally and an undertaking was also given by the Morcha for conducting a peaceful rally as per the rules.
But the protestors broke all the rules as thousand entered bare footed before the Republic Day parade which is before11:30 but the time allotted in the permission was after 11:30, even they broke many police barricades and also refused to follow the proposed route.
Around 6,000 to 7,000 tractors were assembled at the Singhu Border at 8:30 am only and planned to go to the Central Delhi instead the permitted periphery areas, said Delhi Police.
