The West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is likely to unveil its Manifesto today afternoon, told a senior TMC leader.
The TMC chief had earlier said that the party would release its manifesto on March 11 which accidently had to be postponed after Banerjee sustained injuries after the Nandigram incident.
Apart from assuring of new schemes like Duare Ration (ration to doorsteps), the manifesto may also include giving an OBC status to a few cast groups including Mahishyas.
In 2011, when TMC came into power the party had passed a legislation that provided 17% reservation to OBCs in governments jobs.
In the Lok Sabha election in 2019, the BJP performed well in the districts with major population of SCs, STs and tribal in West Bengal.
The state is going under polling in eight phases starting from March 27 with votes counting on May 2.
