Rajnath Singh, the minister of defence, was present when Maharashtra’s chief minister, Eknath Shinde, recognised Aamir.
On social media, Ira, the CEO and founder of the Agatsu Foundation, a nonprofit organisation that promotes mental health and wellbeing, showed her appreciation. She shared a selfie with the award, saying, “Thank you for the honour, @thecsrjournal I got to share a stage with so many cool people! Thank you to the entire @agatsufoundation team – the official team and the unofficial team – for being on this journey with me ❤️ you’re the reason I can do what I do.”
Social media users shared videos from the ceremony, showing Ira accepting the prize and carrying it to her table, where her fiancé and parents were sat. Aamir gave Ira a congrats at the event.
