A TMC worker died and three other got injured in a bomb attack that took place last night in Paschim Medinipur district of West Bengal. The dead TMC worker has been identified as Souvik Dolai. The three injured have been admitted to a Medical College Hospital Medinipur.
The four were attacked were sitting at the roadside in the Narayangarh police station area when the bike-borne attackers hurled a bomb towards them with shooting the the 24 year-old Shouvik Dolai.
The local TMC workers alleged the BJP behind the attack while the BJP district president Samit Das, alleged that the attack was out of inner hostility in the TMC.
The police watched the incident as a mute spectator as it has not taken any action, which denotes the attack was planned within the Trinamool itself, Das added.
“We did well in the area in the previous elections. The attack was planned to stop us before the assembly polls. This is BJP’s job. We have requested the police to arrest the miscreants immediately,” said Ajit Maiti district president of TMC.
“It is entirely due to a conflict between two TMC groups. For long, there has been a tussle among those who have been collecting toll from a nearby factory. I don’t know the whole story. I want to know from the administration how the miscreants get so much courage? Police are not playing their role in Narayangarh,” said the district BJP president Samit Das.
