The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 opening ceremony got underway on Thursday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad with numerous performances by Rashmika Mandhana, Tamannah Bhatia, and Arijit Singh. Arijit Singh, the king of melody, serenaded the audience with tunes like “Ai Mere Watan,” “Lehra Do,” and “Vande Matram.” As Arijit Singh sang “Kesariya,” “Jhume Jo Pathaan,” “Tujhe Kitna Chahne Lage Hum,” “Ghungroo,” “Ilahi,” and “Channa Mere Aa,” the audience chanted along with him.
Later, Tamannah Bhatia, a stunning diva, took control of the platform and performed several Bollywood and regional songs. Rashmika Madanna, the object of everyone’s affection, also appeared on stage and delivered a fiery rendition of the hit song “Saami.” Tamannah expressed her excitement about taking the platform live for the opening ceremony, saying, “I have always loved performing on stage. Additionally, it’s extremely thrilling to perform for the IPL, which has endured a lot since COVID-19. I am really looking forward to my performance with Rashmika Mandhana and Arijit Singh.
Both actors praised their two favourite Indian cricketers, Virat Kohli of the Royal Challengers Bangalore and MS Dhoni, captain of the Chennai Super Kings.
