The woman in this video is actress Payal Jadhav, not Rekha Gupta, according to the news outlet Fact Check. We found an Instagram post made by Payal Jadhav after reverse scanning keyframes from the famous video. The February 19 post paid homage to Chhatrapati Shivaji, the Maratha monarch. She attributed her martial arts prowess to “Savyasachi Gurukulam,” a Maharashtra training facility.
Actress Payal Jadhav, who received a master’s degree in Bharatanatyam from Lalit Kala Kendra and graduated from Pune University, made her Marathi cinema debut in 2023 with the film “Baaplyok.” She also worked on the TV series “Manvat Murders” and had a small role in the film “Three of Us.” On January 5, 2023, Jadhav posted a picture of herself wearing clothing similar to the one in the viral video, making it obvious that a video of actress Payal Jadhav was circulated as an old video of Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.
