India Reports Sharp Spike In Covid With 7,584 New Cases

In the last 24 hours, India has registered 7,584 new instances of the novel coronavirus, as well as 24 deaths from the infection. According to data released by the Union Health Ministry on Friday (June 10), the country experienced 3,791 discharges in the previous 24 hours, bringing the total recovery rate to roughly 98.71 percent and total recoveries to 4,26,44,092.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in India has climbed to 36,267, according to data released today by the health ministry. There were 32,498 active cases registered yesterday.

In just 24 hours, the active COVID-19 caseload increased by 3,769 cases. According to the ministry, active cases account for 0.08 percent of all infections.

The country’s total death toll today stands at 5,24,747. The first death from the COVID epidemic was recorded in India in March 2020.

Up to June 9, 85,41,98,288 samples had been tested for COVID-19, according to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). On Thursday, 3,35,050 of these samples were examined.

Meanwhile, according to a Delhi government health advisory issued on Thursday, 622 new COVID-19 cases were detected in the last 24 hours in Delhi. The COVID-19 tally for Delhi now stands at 19,10,613.

There were 1,774 active cases in the nation’s capital. The percentage of those that are optimistic is 3.17 percent. In the last 24 hours, the city reported 537 recoveries.

During this time, two individuals died in the capital city, bringing the total death toll during COVID-19 in Delhi to 26,216.
