The Indian team has been revealed for the forthcoming T20 World Cup. All-rounder Hardik Pandya, who is under pressure, has been selected vice captain of the Rohit Sharma-led squad. Yuzvendra Chahal, an experienced spinner who was frequently passed over by selectors, has at last secured a position in the squad. KL Rahul has been passed over for the wicketkeeper position; Sanju Samson and Rishabh Pant have seized it. Conversely, Axar Patel, Shubman Gill, and Yashasvi Jaiswal have also established themselves as members of the team. On the other hand, reserves Shubman Gill, Rinku Singh, Avesh Khan, and Khaleel Ahmed have been picked. Mohammed Siraj and Arshdeep Singh, two pacers, have also been added to the roster.
The two specialist batsmen in India’s 15-man team for the Twenty20 World Cup are Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav. In addition to them, Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube will bat in the middle order, giving India’s batting lineup more depth.
Shubman Gill, the opening batter, was named in the reserves and did not make the 15-man roster. Yashasvi Jaiswal is the third opener for India, chosen by the selectors. In addition to Gill, the reserves include pacers Khaleel Ahmed and Avesh Khan, as well as batter Rinku Singh.
KL Rahul, the captain of the Lucknow Super Giants, was disappointed to learn that he had not been included in the Team India roster for the T20 World Cup. Sanju Samson of the Rajasthan Royals and Rishabh Pant of the Delhi Capitals have been selected by the selection committee to be India’s two wicketkeepers. Pant is having a huge moment as he makes his IPL comeback following his terrible car tragedy. His current goal is to do well for the national team as well.
The current IPL all-arounder Hardik Pandya, who has been under fire for his lacklustre play, has been selected Team India’s vice-captain for the forthcoming T20 World Cup. There were numerous rumours that Hardik will be overlooked by the selection. He will now, nevertheless, serve as Rohit Sharma’s backup in the major match.
