Kalki 2898 AD’ Box Office Day 2, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone Starrer Nets Rs 18.50 Crore in Hindi Markets

Day 2 box office revenue for Kalki 2898 AD: The Deepika Padukone and Prabhas film saw a steep decline of around 43% on the second day of its release, despite making history by becoming the third highest opener of all time.

According to Sacnilk statistics, on Friday, the dystopian science-fiction epic directed by Nag Ashwin took in ₹54 crore (net) at the movie office in India. The domestic collection dropped by 43.3% from the ₹95.3 crore recorded on the first day, which was Thursday.

Kalki 2898 AD made ₹54 crore (net) in India, according to preliminary figures from the news agency. On its opening day at the box office, the film did remarkably well, grossing an estimated ₹95.3 cr in India. The language-wise division of the movie’s second-day box office collection shows a net collection of ₹25.64 crore in Telugu, ₹3.5 crore in Tamil, ₹22.5 crore in Hindi, ₹0.35 crore in Kannada, and ₹2 crore in Malayalam. With this, the total domestic box office collection of the movie stood at ₹149 crore for two days, ie Thursday and Friday, according to Sacnilk’s early estimates. In two days, the movie earned ₹91.45 crore total in Telugu, ₹8 crore in Tamil, ₹45 crore in Hindi, and ₹0.65 crore in Kannada.

On Friday, June 28, 2024, the film, which starred the renowned actor Amitabh Bachchan, had an overall Hindi occupancy of 31.72%. On Friday, the film maintained its dominance in Telugu movie theatres, with an aggregate occupancy rate of 65.02%. Yesterday, the entire Tamil occupancy rate for the film was 31.15%.

The film is set in the future and combines science fiction with Hindu mythology. Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, Nag Ashwin’s high-budget movie was released on Thursday in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, and English.

Prominent actors Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Hassan are among the stars of the film. With their roles in the film, Disha Patani, Saswata Chatterjee, and Shobhana have also made an impact.

Amitabh Bachchan has played the role of immortal Ashwatthama, who finds his roots in the Mahabharata era. Kamal Hassan has played the role of villain Yaskin.
