In Karnataka, lokayukta raids are taking place in 40 locations. The raids are being carried out in relation to nine cases that have been filed with the Lokayukta department. Belagavi, Haveri, Davanagere, Kalaburagi, and Mysore are all experiencing raids.
In yet another grave accusation against Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in relation to the purported MUDA scandal, social activist Snehamayi Krishna asserted on Tuesday that Siddaramaiah had a hand in the plot’s distribution.
The wife of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah allegedly failed to pay the cost for the deed acquisition in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site allocation, according to Right to Information (RTI) activist Krishna. He claimed that the stamp duty was paid by the MUDA Tehsildar himself. One of the complainants in the purported MUDA scam is Krishna.
The legitimacy of the Lokayukta Police’s probe into Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s involvement in the alleged Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) fraud was questioned by Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy a week ago.
In his criticism of the investigation, Kumaraswamy questioned the right of a superintendent-level officer to look into the Chief Minister, asking, “What investigation have they done? An officer at the SP level asking about the CM? This drama took place today. SP could have written anything they desired.
After being questioned by the Lokayukta Police in Mysuru, Siddaramaiah previously underlined that “Lokayukta is an independent agency, like the CBI.” The governor has suggested that the Lokayukta look into the MUDA affair.
