One more MLA quits TMC, Party cited his non-performance

TMC is claiming that Dipak Halder has quit because he new that he was not going to get the party ticket to contest the polls because he has not performed his duties of being an MLA.

Trinamool Congress has faced another jolt today as one more MLA resigned from the party. This time he is Dipak Halder who is two time lefislator from Diamond Harbour. He confessed the reason behind his resignation that he was not being allowed to work in TMC. He joined the BJP at a rally in Baruipur in South 24 Parganas dstrict soon after quitting from TMC.

BJP which is welcoming such entries since so long is now creating a perception of winning the upcoming Bengal assembly elections.

However, TMC is claiming that he has quit because he was not going to get the party ticket to contest the polls because he has not performed his duties of being an MLA. As earlier said by Bengal Chief Minister and TMC Supremo Mamata Banerjee that those who are leaving are the ones who know that they are not going to get the party tickets and this is only possible reason behind their resignations.

Around 18 members from TMC have quit the party in last couple of months. These include some sitting and former MLAs and some former cabinet ministers and mostly all of them have joined the largest Party that is BJP.

According to the sources on last Saturday five former leaders from TMC had flown to Delhi to meet the Union Home Minister Amit Shah to join his party.

West Bengal is going to have its assembly polls in April-May this year on 294 seats.
