Animal broke all previous records on its second Friday, earning 24 crores at the box office. Such a massive number has never been received on the second Friday in Bollywood history, and to think that this history is being written in 2023, when biggies like Jawan, Pathaan, and Gadar 2 are all scoring incredibly high, and Animal is now bringing in similar amounts.
Actually, the Ranbir Kapoor film had a stronger start in the second week. With the second weekend coming to a finish, it remains to be seen where the momentum goes. So far, it’s trending far better than Gadar 2 (due to its dubbed versions also coming in handy) and is neck to neck with Pathaan.
Naturally, Jawan is well ahead of it and would be unreachable in the last run. Pathaan would be challenging as well, but Gadar 2 is its opponent. Nevertheless, the Sunny Deol film continued to have amazing trending after the fourth week.
The Sandeep Reddy Vanga film has now earned 362.63 crores, and today it will overtake Aamir Khan’s Dangal’s (387.38 crores) lifetime total. After that, the movie will be going up against KGF: Chapter 2 [Hindi], which has 434.70 crores in lifetime earnings. That record would also be shattered during the workdays, and after that, it would all be about making a run for the 500 crore club.
