Only 15 days after their wedding, a woman in the Auraiya area was taken into custody on Monday for planning the murder of her husband. According to the police, she hired a contract killer to commit the crime after plotting with her lover. After an eight-day inquiry, Pragati Yadav, 20, her lover Anurag Yadav, and contract killer Ramji Nagar were arrested, according to Superintendent of Police (SP) Abhijeet S. Shankar, who declared the matter was resolved.
On March 19, businessman Dilip Yadav, the victim, was discovered bleeding in a wheat field in the village of Palia. Three days after locals hurried him to a hospital, he passed away from his wounds. After his brother later complained to the police, a thorough investigation was conducted. Since Pragati was reportedly coerced into marrying Dilip on March 5, investigators believe that she and Anurag, who had been dating for almost four years, premeditated the murder. “She allegedly planned the murder in an attempt to get back together with Anurag.”
For ₹2 lakh, the couple paid contract killer Ramji Nagar ₹1 lakh up front. Dilip was running a Hydra machine on March 19 when Pragati gave him his location. Then, under false pretenses, Ramji led Dilip to the fields and shot him in the head. The case was initially filed under the heading of attempted murder. Later, Dilip was transferred to Gwalior for medical care, but he passed away.
Using CCTV footage and the Trinetra monitoring system, the police were able to see Ramji riding a motorcycle with Dilip to the fields. This led to Ramji’s arrest, and during interrogation, he revealed the entire conspiracy. Further questioning confirmed Pragati’s role in the crime. She admitted that her marriage had become an obstacle to her relationship with Anurag, leading them to plan the murder.
