Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) announced the resumption of sports and entertainment activities from January 18 on the day of launch of vaccination drive against covid-19 in the country.
Vikram Kumar the Municipal Commissioner issued Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the same under the provisions of the Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897, to resume sports activities only outside containment zones.
All levels of sports competitions will be resumed from January 18, with the guidelines to follow SOPs issued by the state sports department.
The government administrative training institutes, like YASHADA will start their on campus training programs outside containment zones outside by rigidly following the SOPs issued.
Along with all other sports activities water sports and water-based activities will also be resumed in the PMC area along with compulsory implementation of the SOPs set by the state tourism department.
Apart from sports tourists places like entertainment or amusement parks, indoor entertainment activities and other tourist places will be open for public with following the proper guidelines issued by the state tourism department to restrict the spread of covid-19.
It will be compulsory for both tour operators and tourists to follow their respective SOPs issued by the state tourism department.
