Late on Wednesday, Tahawwur Hussain Rana, the mastermind of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, was extradited from the United States and brought to the NIA court in Delhi. Later on, he will be housed at the Tihar jail. The 64-year-old Canadian national, who was born in Pakistan, is linked to US citizen David Coleman Headley, also known as Daood Gilani, who was one of the primary conspirators of the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.
The NIA’s senior advocate, Dayan Krishnan, informs the court that Tahawwur Rana must be questioned while in jail in order to verify the facts and the evidence that is now available. The anti-terror agency wants to question Rana while she is in detention, Senior Advocate Dayan Krishnan informs the Special NIA judge.
