The first teaser for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which stars Triptii Dimri, Vidya Balan, and Kartik Aaryan, was released on Friday. Anees Bazmee, who helmed the second edition of the series as well, returns to the director’s chair for this third installment. Vidya made her debut in the franchise with the first installment back in 2007, therefore this is her comeback to the series. In the initial Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Akshay Kumar appeared.
The audio for “Ami Je Tomar” opens the teaser, teasing Vidya’s triumphant comeback. Her character’s horrifying bed-lifting moment from the first movie, where she used her bare hands, is alluded to. This time, she yells at the top of her lungs while raising a large chair. Returning to the role of Rooh Baba, a kind of ghost hunter, Kartik Aaryan seems to have been tasked with catching Manjulika’s spirit. Triptii Dimri portrays Kartik’s romantic partner. Madhuri Dixit was supposedly in the movie as well, but the teaser doesn’t show her at all.
The film’s story, screenplay, and dialogue are ascribed to Aakash Kaushik. Bhool Bhulaiyaa seems to be more of a horror movie than a comedy based on the teaser. Given Stree 2’s success, it appears that there is a sizable enough public interest in the genre.

At the domestic box office, the Kartik Aaryan picture brought in over Rs 185 crore nett during a period when the Hindi film industry was still recuperating from the epidemic.
