The Journal reported this by citing a previously undisclosed US intelligence report.
The Journal also said the report – which gives details about the number of researchers affected, time period of their sicknesses and their clinic visits – may add weight to requirement of an extensive investigation in the matter whether the COVID-19 infection might have escaped from the lab facility.
This comes on the day of a meeting of the World Health Organisation’s decision making body, which was expected to discuss the next phase of investigation in finding out the origins of Covid-19.
